Weekend Family Tours

Guided gallery walk for families with hands-on object-handling sessions. Free with museum admission.

First Friday of the month

Museum After Hours

Evening access to galleries with live performances, artist talks and refreshments. Extended hours until 9 PM.

Heritage Lecture Series

Public talks by curators, archaeologists and historians on Uganda’s cultural heritage and new research findings.

School holidays

Children’s Workshop Camp

Week-long hands-on workshops in pottery, barkcloth making, traditional music and archaeological dig simulations.

Barkcloth Festival

Celebrating Uganda’s UNESCO-recognised barkcloth making tradition with demonstrations and workshops.
