The 2025 MTWA Statistical Abstract provides a comprehensive overview of Uganda's tourism sector performance for 2025, including tourist arrivals (1,642,215 visitors, +19.7%), record receipts of UGX 5,829.2 billion, employment, investment and visitor expenditure statistics.

The 2025 Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities (MTWA) Statistical Abstract provides a comprehensive overview of Uganda’s tourism sector performance for the year 2025. The findings confirm that the sector has maintained a strong growth trajectory, fully recovering from the pandemic and surpassing 2019 benchmarks, reaffirming Uganda’s position as a highly competitive global destination.

International tourist arrivals increased by 19.7% in 2025, reaching 1,642,215 visitors (up from 1,371,895 in 2024) — fully recovered to 106% of pre-pandemic (2019) levels. Tourism receipts reached a record UGX 5,829.2 billion (US$ 1.62 billion), a 21.3% growth over the previous year, contributing approximately 16% of Uganda’s total export revenues. The average length of stay increased to 8.8 nights and tourism directly generated 876,512 jobs in 2024, accounting for 7.5% of total employment.
