MOROTO REGIONAL MUSEUM

Uganda has 5 museums located in Kampala, Kabale, Soroti, and Moroto.
There are plans to expand regional museums of Moroto, Soroti and Kabale.
The current museums and monument infrastructure is characterised by one National Museum, 2 regional museums in Kabale and Moroto.
MOROTO FOSSIL SITE:
Research initiatives in the field of Paleontology have led to major discoveries of important fossils hominoids at Moroto and Napak ranging between 16 million to 20 million years old, that share post cranial features with the current humans. The specimens are key in understanding the Evolution of humankind in Africa.
